You install the Microsoft Application Compatibility Toolkit
(ACT) 5.6 on a Windows Server 2008 based computer. However, when you try to
open the Internet Explorer Compatibility Test Tool that is included with ACT
5.6, you receive the following error message:

To resolve this issue, apply the hotfix that is described in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
950923 The
SNMP Event Log Extension Agent does not initialize correctly on a computer that
is running Windows Vista with Service Pack 1 or Windows Server 2008
Go to the
above mentioned knowledge base and request for Hotfix download. Install the
Hotfix and again start Internet Explorer Compatibility Test Tool. It should
work fine.
